5% Gross Receipts Tax on Pennsylvania Cell Phone Users

Perhaps you have heard the radio spots that have been airing lately by mywireless.org, requesting that Pennsylvania cell phone customers write Governor Rendell and their state Senator and asking them to repeal the 5% Gross Receipts Tax on wireless service.
While I applaud mywireless.org in their effort to convince Pennsylvania Senators and Governor Rendell to overturn the double tax on cell phone usage in Pennsylvania, I think we are going about this the wrong way. Writing to politicians has little effect it seems unless it is a large lobbyist group with big money backing. My suggestion is this. Just stop paying the tax! Aren't we taxed enough? I think when we pay our cell phone bill, we should just subtract the portion that is tax. How did we ever become so obligated financially to the government anyway. JUST STOP PAYING THE DAMN TAX!!!! That will hit those crooks in Harriburg where it hurts, in the pocketbook, not the mailbox.
